Grooming Policies

  • Reminder Emails: A courtesy reminder email will be sent up to 48 hours prior to your appointment time.
  • Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your appointment (48 hours if you are booking more than one animal).This allows us time to try to book a replacement for your vacated appointment.
  • No Shows: We understand a no show could happen and we think it’s not a big deal the first time. However, if it happens a second time, we will add a $15 service fee to your next appointment.

Grooming FAQs

1What is the FURminator®?
It is a shed-less/ anti-shedding treatment that improves the appearance of your pet by reducing about ½ of the hair your pet sheds. Designed for both long and short-haired breeds. Within two or more treatments, the FURminator has been proven to reduce shedding approximately 60 percent. There is no treatment that will effectively stop an animal from shedding, this is the next best thing!
1Why does my dog have to be kept separately after grooming?
We want your dog to remain clean until you pick him/her up.
1Can my dog socialize with other dogs throughout the day?
You can decide if you want your dog to mingle with others or remain alone. Either way, your dog will have a chance to be active in the outdoor run while being supervised. At Pet Laundry, we have your animal's health and comfort in mind at all time.
1Can I wait for my dog to be groomed?
You can, but it is not the best thing for your pet to see you while being groomed. Just like with children, pets tend to behave different in your presence, and it brings an extra level of unnecessary stress to your pet while the groomer is working with them. We want your pet to be comfortable and solely focused on the groomer. Please feel free to hang out in the customer lounge while we service your pet.
1How will my dog be dried?
Pet Laundry uses hand-held, forced-air dryers which do not have heaters on them.
1What is the difference between a cage dryer and a cabinet dryer?
Because dogs don't have sweat glands like humans, they can overheat. If your pet is scared and/or aggressive towards hand held dryers we will use a cage dryer. Cage dryers either hang on the side of a cage or have hoses attached to the cage and forces the air directly at your pet. Cabinet dryers is an enclosed unit that allows the dog to sit on a raised grate and room-temperature air (not heated) is gently forced under the pet, towards the side and is recirculated over the pet's head.

Socialization & Temperament - Pre Day Care

  • IMPORTANT – Before your dog can attend doggie day care, you must bring him/her in for a ½ or full day temperament test. It is FREE of charge.

Dogs get dirty, and so do their beds and blankets. We offer pickup and drop off services of all dog bedding & blankets. We wash and dry your dog bedding and deliver it back to you clean and fresh. So that your dog is not left without a bed, we offer an exchange service. While we have your dogs bed, you can use one of ours. If you prefer to drop off & pickup later, that is okay too.

  • $9 to wash and dry dog beds
  • $5 each way (pickup or delivery)
  • We pickup up and drop off Tuesday thru Thursday from 10am to 2pm
  • Clean Bed Package – when we pick up your dogs bed, we will leave you with a clean loaner bed so your dog does not have to sleep on the floor. When we return your bed we will pick up the loaner bed.

  • Self-Service baths must begin 45 minutes before closing time, and completed by closing time.

Check-In Policy

  • Dogs can be checked in/out between 7:00am and 6:45pm Monday thru Friday; 8:00am - 4:45pm Saturday; and 8:00am to 2:45pm Sunday.
  • Check out time is no later than 15 minutes before closing time.
  • We do NOT offer overnight boarding at this time.

Payment

Payment is due at time of service and must be settled in full before your dog leaves Pet Laundry. We accept payment by all major credit cards, cash or debit card. No personal checks accepted. Pet Laundry is closed on all major holidays – Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day. Reservations are not required for doggie day care (but appreciated!). Please call us in advance for reservations and let us know if your plans change at least 24hrs in advance.

Puppies

  • We welcome puppies 6 months and older who have received their complete round of puppy shots to stay with us.
  • Gender: All dogs 7 months and older must be spayed or neutered.

Vaccinations

  • For the safety of all of staff and guests, all dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations. It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure that all vaccination records are up to date and recorded in our records before your visit.
  • Owners must submit written proof by hard-copy, mail or fax (arj fill in) of Canine Flu, Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccinations. We also recommend the leptospirosis shots.
  • Your dog must have had a fecal exam in the last year, and be worm-free.
  • Your dog must be on a monthly heartworm, flea, and tick regimen.

Pet Laundry General Information And Policies

Pet Laundry is committed to providing a safe, fun and stimulating social environment for your pet during his/her stay with us. To ensure the safety and health of your pet and our other guests, we require all guests to comply with the policies below.

Health

All dogs must be in good health. At check in, owners will certify their dog(s) are in good health and have not been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days. Upon admission, all dogs must be free from any condition which could potentially jeopardize other guests. Dogs that have been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days will require veterinarian certification of health to be admitted or readmitted. Dogs will be very active with Pet Laundry staff and can socialize with other dogs based on your preference. Please let us know if your dog has any physical limitations, injuries or other concerns.

Meals/Food Policy

You must bring your dog’s food at check-in. It is your responsibility to bring enough to last the entire stay. Food should be sealed in a ziplock type bag with your pets name written on the bag. We can write the name on it when you arrive also.

Behavior

All dogs must have a complete, up-to-date and approved application on file. We also require that he/she attend a 1/2 or full day Socialization Session (FREE!) to make sure that your dog plays well with others (Pet Laundry Staff and other pets). For the safety of our employees and other guests, aggressive dogs will not be accepted. Pet Laundry may refuse any dog for any reason.

Medical Emergencies

If for any reason your pet should require veterinarian attention, Pet Laundry will first attempt to contact you, notify you of the situation. If we cannot reach you or your designated emergency contact we will transport your pet to the nearest veterinarian partner in Lilburn or a 24 hour emergency vet clinic. Pet Owners are responsible for paying all veterinarian services (3rd party medical provider) at the time of checkout from the emergency services provider.
